Although developed for small craft (runabouts) the following example demonstrates the massive additional buoyancy provided by boat floats. An Indonesian style vessel of over 10 metres length, was open to the Tropical wet season rains, combined with leaking plank seams, flat battery, inoperable electric Bilge pump. “Rainbow Zuccini” sank on its Darwin mooring.

After refloating, a single 2 metre set of Boat Floats was fitted to “Rainbow Zuccini” A Float set normally fitted to a 3.8 metre tinnie.
